Information:
The Artemis Program was initiated by a team of psychologists and psychiatrists, all members in "J.L. Moreno" Psychodrama Society. The "J.L. Moreno" Psychodrama Society is a professional association, which has the aim the training of specialists in individual and group psychotherapy.
Our services have grown and this made it necessary to separate from the J.L.Moreno Psychodrama Society and in 2001 we have formed a new association: Association of Women Against Violence- ARTEMIS.
At this time, for all of the activities we have, we have a staff of 13 employees plus 10 volunteers. There are two counseling offices, one in Cluj and one in Baia Mare and a shelter for women in Cluj.

Now is functioning with a team of 13 women and 10 volunteers, psychologists, social assistants and jurists, who offers the services of the counseling centers from Cluj, Baia Mare, and the shelter for women and children, victims of domestic violence.

The main objectives of the program are:

" Organising psycho-social and juridical assistance services for children and women who suffered different forms of violence- at the counselling center and shelter
" Providing a proper treatment for the victims of violence, encouraging the organising of self-help groups for girls and women
" Promotion of measures for combating violence against women and girls, for the first step the legal and social protection and intervention
" Functioning as a resource center of information, sensibilization and special training for the work with the victims of violence and abuse (the professionals in the domain of primary assistance- doctors, social assistance's, psychologists, educators)
" Fructifying the knowledge and experience accumulated by organizing round tables, seminars, and researches.
