The shelter creates conditions for stopping the mechanism of domestic violence, the rehabilitation and resocialisation of victims is organized, the risk of repeated violence is reduced. The victims are provided with psychological and juridical help, a safe place for mental and physical recovery, information about violence-free alternatives, 24-hour access to the shelter, 24-hour hotline with professional counselors, group therapy (e.g. a psychodrama training course in May 2003 for 10 persons). A special web page (http://www.naistetugi.ee ) with e-mail-counseling service has been created.
