First Shelter for women in former socialist countries - founded in 1990, Women's Counseling Centre - every working day free of charge telephone (0800 55 44) and face to face counselling, lobbying for legal changes regarding violence against women, reproductive rights and gender equality, campaigning against violence against women, publishing, training of women's groups (antionaly and regionally) and institutions/state agencies, work with media on the issue of violence against women.
